Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the role of teachers in instilling the love of the Qur'an in children from an early age. Instilling a love of the Qur'an in children from an early age is how teachers or parents make children love the Qur'an from an early age so that children will be easy and happy in memorizing the Qur'an and children will make the Qur'an as a way of life in his life. This type of research is qualitative research. The subject of this research is Tahfidzul Qur'an Al Hikmah Elementary School. The method in this study uses data collection techniques in the form of interviews, observations and documents. Then this study uses data analysis, namely data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of this study indicate that there are several concepts that can be applied by teachers in instilling the love of the Qur'an in children from an early age, including listening to the murottal Qur'an in children, understanding the child's personality, choosing the right time to memorize, instilling a competitive spirit. Between students, giving rewards and punishments, and giving prizes to students in the form of special manuscripts for memorizing. The family environment factor that is very influential in instilling the love of the Qur'an in children is the parent factor. Parents have a very important role in guiding and educating children at home.
